Party Favor

Finally I got a chance to get a project done.  This week I made a party favor and submitted it to Hand Stamped Sentiments weekly challenge.  I never use orange...so I challenged myself to craft with a color a lot of people like.  Here is a little box that you could decorate anyway and fill it with a variety of fun favors.

Here is my favor box
All supplies Stanpin Up unless noted
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Night of Navy, and Tangerine Tango
Ink: Night of Navy and Tangerine Tango
Accessories: 3/4 circle punch, Kraft gift box, scallop punch boarder, glitter spritz and ribbon

I frayed the edges of the ribbon for a warn look.

It sure is summer in Michigan.  It has been in the mid 90's for weeks! Perfect challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments celebrating summer, beach, surf and sand.  Here is my challenge card...I wish I was Hawaii! So its not on the Pacific Coast but the sand and water inspired me.

Use card stock to make decorative paper and added dimension.  I stamped the sun, brown polka dots, and used SU embossing folder for raised dots.  Oh yeah..and the back of the card is textured by using SU's choc. chip refill to add ink spray.

I used a dimensional dot to raise the pineapple.

Coloring with Markers

I love to coloring my stamps with markers to create different colors throughout the stamp.  You can color images, word stamps, background stamps, and so much more!!! I love the Day of Gratitude stamp set from Stampin Up. http://www.stampinup.com/

All supplies Stampin Up unless noted
Stamp Set: Day of Gratitude
Marker: More Mustard, Night of Navy, Chocolate Chip.
Cardstock: Craft (retired), More Mustard, Night of Navy, More Mustard, and Whisper White
Accessories: Embossing Stripes Folder, 2 way glue stick with Dazzling Diamonds, and Grosgrain Striped Choc. Chip Ribbon
Use your markers (the thick end!) to color directly on the stamp where you want color.  I used Night of Navy in center, Mustard in middle, and choc. chip on outside.  This stamp is perfect for coloring to give color to a large image.

Dazzling Diamonds

For this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge   I used one of my favorite products I haven't used in a while...Dazzling Diamonds.  Stampin Up's Dazzling Diamonds is a great glitter to add to any project.  It gives it a perfect iridescent glitter and sparkle.  You can use two way glitter, heat and stick powder, and even a Xyron machine.  To make the whole image sticky you can run the image upside down in the Xyron.  www.xyron.com/.  Join in the challenge fun at (http://www.handstampedsentiments.blogspot.com/)

All supplies SU unless noted:
Stamp Set: Create a Cupcake
Cardstock: Whisper White, Melon Mambo, and Pattern Paper Pack (retired)
Ink Colors: Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Pacific Point, Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip, and More Mustard Marker
Accesories: Heat and Stick powder, Dazzling Diamonds, Top Note Bigz, 1 3/8 circle punch, and white ribbon.

The Big Note Big Shot piece is raised up with dimensions.  Dazzling Diamonds is placed on with heat and stick powder.
To use heat and stick powder: stamp image using versa mark, cover with heat and stick powder, heat with embossing gun, cover with dazzling diamonds, heat again to adhere, enjoy sparkels.
